I’m back at the Adventure Science Center this Thursday with a Creative Code demo and Interactive/Participatory Art and Music experiences as part of the Make Music Nashville Festival!
Come out and play! (I may even be able to let you bring instruments…..working on that)
I will be set up in the big hall just left of the entrance.
FREE! Thursday June 21 3pm
There will be fun music events all day and night all over the city. Here is a link to the other projects at the Science Center
I have just been added as a performer for the Ga Tech SEAD artists concert April 21 and I will be bringing my Arduino Drum duet!
I am thrilled to have ConCentrics 3.0 installed at Nashville’s Adventure Science Center. I have recoded it to include 4 Wii remotes (which I encourage you to use all at once) and it now includes additional shapes and fills if you hit the A buttons on each unit.
The White remote controls the triple theremin and the color wave.Tag with #concentrics so I can find you and if you have a group going, let me know and I will try to meet you down there. |

On April 21 I will be visiting Georgia Tech to install several
interactive projects at the Ferst Center for their Women in Music Technology event. My plan is to bring the robotic drum, Constellation and ConCentrics. Please tell your Atlanta friends!I am making plans for a beginning creative code workshop here in Nashville also so please let me know if you might be interested. I think it will be late April but I’m still firming things up.
Thanks for tuning in and Happy Spring!

A newly expanded version of my Wii remote drawing composition is at Nashville’s Adventure Science Center through May 13.
I developed the code to include 4 remotes instead of the usual 2 and there is now an option to fill in the circles and square animations. I am liking the improvements!
If you post any pix please tag with #concentrics so that I can see your lovely artwork!
So I am taking my new friends from Constellations out for a spin today at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville. There is a large maker day event with MTRAS and NashMicro and I will be joining them around 1 in the main auditorium – to the left before the ticket counters. This is the free part of the museum.
More official dates will be posted soon!
I have created a brand new interactive audiovisual animation using the Xbox Kinect and there are 6 characters: SunSynth, Glide, Spike, CatEye, FireFly and BlueGhost.
This will be on display at @OzNashville in late June for Tony Youngblood’s Art Pods event.
Packing up for a day at the studio…

This was a breathtaking installation and my main reason for trying to get to New York this October
Doris Salcedo at the Guggenheim
It was a profound experience to see this work in person.
I love her attitude and that of her studio partners as they work to create the impossible, again and again…and they do.
The deeply layered materials and content of these works remind me of Ai Wei Wei’s. There is the surface, the almost invisible textures and more content than I can begin to describe. It really is poetry in form.
Congratulations to MCA Chicago for curating a phenomenal show.
