Rimum (the Wild Bull) from Atlanta Wed night
I re-orchestrated this and added a Baritone Sax line that I am now very attached to! Very fun playing with #4WAKO – the 4th Ward Afro-Klezmer small ensemble. We opened for #paalnilsen-love’s Large Group which was absolutely terrific!

Free jazz/improvised music in Atlanta June 13
I will be a guest artist with Roger Ruzow’s 4th Ward Afro-Klezmer Orchestra on Wed June 13. It’s been awhile since I have played free jazz and I am really looking forward to it. Roger and I played and recorded together a number of times with Gold Sparkle Band and as a duet back years ago in Atlanta and Chicago.I remember having a lot of fun on live radio as well on WREK. Excited to be joining him!

Concert details and a Critic’s Pick
It was an amazing evening! I may have programmed too many knobs to control…or just enough. It’s hard to say but controlling visuals and sound input cues with a chamber ensemble is pretty thrilling.
Eclipse went very well and I hope to have some video up soon.
Here is a link to the wonderful Critic’s Pick from John Pitcher at the Nashville Scene which came out the day of the concert.
Classical 91.1 interview with Kara McLeland
